Only a Handful
Got on the beach a little late...Only a handful of seaglass available. It's the time of year, I'm convinced. Seaglass is much more plentiful in Winter and Spring. Can't wait until the beaches are desolate and I can don my hooded sweatshirt in cool weather and start searching. It's shocking how much trash washes up from the bay. If we don't take action and become more conscious of cleanliness in our waters, what are our grandchildren and great-grandkids going to do? They won't be able to visit a beach for fear of bacteria and infections. It's become very disgusting. It could be because of the time of year and number of people frequenting the beach. I remember last spring the beaches looked so pristine. I hope we can get them that way again. I'm getting ready for the jewelry event at First Landing this Saturday. I hope it turns out well to give me incentive to keep going. I love making the seaglass crafts. It's so much fun to see how creative I can be with certain pieces of glass. Until next time....remember to pick up your trash as you leave the beach...It would be so simple to carry and trash bag with you and take it as you leave. So much for my lecturing...Have a great week!
